| Biography This whole trip... ...started for me in mid 1967 when I took a few lessons on drums at the legendary Loel's Music Store (Cnr Russel / Lonsdale Streets in Melbourne) from the well schooled Peter Hocking. 1968-1974
This period was spent playing drums in Greek and Latin nightclubs and restaurants around Melbourne and a three month gig in Surfers Paradise. A good grounding for backing singers and dancers on floor shows. 1971-1972 Armadillo - with Dave Flett, Bill Miller. 1974-1976 Joined Captain Matchbox Whoopee band "Irreverant Good Times". 1976-1978 Last Chance Cafe from W.A. - a high energy soul and R&B band. 1978-1979 Mike Rudd's "Instant replay". Visit to the U.S.A. with the band for a factfind tour. 1979-1980 Mike Rudd and the Heaters legendary writers and performers in Australia Music. 1980 Broderick Smith's Big combo - high energy R&B with one of Australias great voices. 1980-1981 Tinsley Waterhouse Band - Howling Blues & Soul. 1982 Shaun and the fiddler. 1983-1984 Boy Meets Girl - a project band with Wayne Stewart. 1986 United Notions - a Sydney North Shore Funk & Soul band. 1987 Burwood Blues Band with Mike Rudd and Bill Putt. 1987-1988 Maniac Rockers From Hell with Greg Champion 1988 Brent Parlane Band. * Started live DJ-ing 1989-1991 Kenny Lopez Sex Mambo - an Afro/Latin band - highlight was a ten day tour of Bangkok 1991-1992 Quintet with Mike Rudd, Bill Putt |
